My name is Kat and I currently live in Slovakia after being in the UK for the past 4 years. I started blogging in 2011 originally to document my family's trip to Australia (it was pretty awesome). I've always wanted a fashion blog but it seemed logistically impossible. I didn't have a camera or a photographer and I felt like I definitely didn't have the wardrobe. But everybody has to start somewhere, so after some time I teamed up with a friend, put on a brave face (posing for photos for the first time ain't no joke!) and went out to shoot. That was in 2013. Yup, it took me a while to get there.

I started posting more outfits, stories from my travels and the occasional recipe. It was fun! But a couple years ago I started feeling a bit overwhelmed by how many clothes I had, and how many of them I didn't wear. I wasn't a hoarder, but it didn't feel right. So I started looking...and stumbled upon the capsule wardrobe concept. And, well, that was it! I dived straight in - purged my closet and made up a methodology for this new lifestyle. It hasn't been pink glasses and blue skies all the time, but I have learnt so much about my shopping habits, myself, my style and lots of other things in the process. I started being more intentional with everything I bought, I started thinking outside the box when putting together outfits, slowly discovering my personal style and really reducing those "I have nothing to wear" moments down to almost 0. Sounds pretty amazing, doesn't it?

So now my mission is to inspire and help ladies who decide to try this out for themselves. To be more conscious or just to do it as a challenge, for fun. Because it is! I don't mean to call myself an expert and I'm far from perfect, but I'd love it if you followed along on my journey to living with less. I'd love to hear about your experience too! I like to be pretty honest here on the blog and I will tell you if I did something right, but also if I did something wrong.
