2x1 LET IT SNOW: THE FIRST WINTER CAPSULE WARDROBE OUTFIT
I'm always surprised at how orange my hair looks in these pictures, it really isn't that way in real life. Though, it does match the colour of my boots nicely :-). Oh yes, my first pair of knee-high boots. I'd been looking for them for years but none fit me around the calves. I heard of people having calf reduction surgery to fit into boots. Kind of ironic. And then, just before Christmas I found these in our local Gabor. I'm so lucky.
I'm telling you all, because the novelty of wearing knee-high boots isn't wearing off at all, so you'll be seeing a lot of them here on the blog. A lot. Consider yourselves warned.
The coat is also a Christmas present. I'd been searching for a not-too-fancy not-too-sporty wrap coat high and low and then my mum found one in the C&A in our hometown. Reasonably priced, too. So yeah, there's going to be a lot of it here too.
I hope you forgive the rambling but I'm so excited about these pieces I have to tell you their stories. Like that Gap shirtdress that I got from America, cause Gap UK doesn't carry it (!). It's exactly what I'd been looking for, a plaid, not too colourful dress in the right length {meaning: not too short}. Isn't it a pretty great feeling when you find precisely what you wished for? And, as a bonus, it has pockets. Pockets, my friends!!
If you remember being this excited about a piece of clothing or footwear, do leave a comment below. I'd love to be excited with you!
And let me know what you think about the outfit. And if there's snow where you are right now. I'm praying for at least a foot!
