10 x 10 LOOK 5: PLAYSUIT

Well, hello! I'm back with another 10 x 10 outfit, and what do you know, we're halfway through! I really wanted to share a look with my denim shorts, but unfortunately the weather has been playing up recently so I haven't been able to snap those pictures just yet. In hopes of forgiveness, I'm sharing this playsuit outfit we shot last week instead :)

I love that play + jumpsuits came into fashion (am I the only one who keeps confusing which one's which?). Even if most of the time I try one on I look like I'm wearing pyjamas. There was one jumpsuit last year (that IS the long one, right? :) ) that I got in New Look and kind of loved. It had small flowers all over and in the end I had to return it, because as much as I liked it, it felt like wearing a costume. My ideal playsuit or jumpsuit would go easy on the pattern and crazy colour combos, it would be sleeveless with comfortable strap, well fitting but also easy breezy. Safe to say, I'm never going to find it.

So even though play + jumpsuits have been having a comeback for the past few years, this patterned, peter pan collared piece is the only one I have. It's okay, it is still fun, but it doesn't fully reflect my style anymore and given the chance, I'd happily trade it for a more neutral version. Like this amazing playsuit that I've had pinned for ages but unfortunately wasn't able to locate anything even remotely similar to it. I'll just have to bide my time and wait for the perfect one to crop up some day. Do you wear one pieces?

I love that they can be so easy to style and as long as you have one that fits right, you have your outfit sorted. Pair it with cute sandals, a tote, even a straw hat for a laid back holiday look or with heels and jewellery (for some reason I love gold with playsuits) for a date night. Or add a blazer for a more of an office look - oh, that actually sounds pretty lovely.

I'm wearing mine with a huge cardigan to tone down the print a bit and also because it feels like I'm wearing a bath robe outside - a little bit undone. Pairing it all with a bag, shade of which matches your hair, will only add extra bonus points and make it look like you really thought about the look ;)
