2x14 THE LAST WINTER OUTFIT + THE LIEBSTER AWARD!

I hereby pronounce this the last winter outfit of the season! Don't be fooled, I had a jacket on too that I took of before we took the photos - you guys don't wanna be seeing the same jacket all the time. I know I don't. I'm glad to be rid of winter so I'm not going to ramble on about this outfit, but I do have to say, I didn't think tucking in a t-shirt would work for me, and it looks like it did in this ensemble!

P.S. My spring wardrobe is almost ready, hope to share it with you this weekend! Who's excited?!

A couple weeks ago I was nominated for the Liebster award by the lovely Leslie of Fawndly & Hart. It's an award created for bloggers with under 200 followers to encourage one another, inspire and create a community.
So now to get up close and personal, I have 11 questions to answer. Q and A time!

What inspired you to start your own blog?
I think I just thought it was something fun to do and also to have some documentation of what life was like. I mentioned on here before that I started the blog to share my family's travels to Australia in 2011. I'm really glad I did that - many little memories would otherwise be forgotten. Plus looking through those posts is like looking through a photo album.
And of course, I wanted to be a fashion star. ;-)

French fries or ice cream?
Ice cream, no question! I'm not actually a fan of fries.

Do you have a favorite area in your home?
In my Manchester home it's probably the bedroom. It looks calm and put together and all my clothes are in there. We have an amazing blue chest of drawers too.

If you had to choose one last meal what would it be?
Ah! A hard one! I don't have a definite answer but would have to shortlist pancakes, sushi, a family meal recipe we call meat in a bowl and an almond cake. And a poppy cake. The shortlist is long. I could go on.

If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
I'd like to first try out a few places before making an informed decision, me thinks! That would be: New York, Bali, Paris, French countryside, American countryside (somewhere that you get real seasons, don't think I could do California). I'd also love to live, say, in Yellowstone or some gorgeous national park, or in a glass house in the mountains. As you see, I'm not fussed :)

Inception or Sense and Sensibility?
Well, as I've not seen Inception I have to go with Sense and Sensibility. I do love the setting of Sense and Sensibility, though I don't think I would have liked to be a woman back then. Love reading about it, though.

What is your dream vacation?
A huge roadtrip across the Americas. I'd love to see the US and eat at a real diner, then explore Mexico and Latin America. Fun! Failing that, Japan.

What do you do or not do to cheer yourself up?
Nothing special, I guess. I bake something delicious, go for a run, read, watch a tv show or blog! I just try and think about positive things and leave the bad behind.

Do you have a favorite quote?
Erm, not really much of a quote person. Some do speak to me, but I definitely don't have a quote motto.

If you could have a superpower what would it be?
Ha! This is a bit of a funny one, but honestly, I'd love to be ready for bed at a click of a finger. Now before you judge, her me out. You know those nights when you're out and it's late and you'd give anything just to be in bed - but you get home and you have teeth to brush, a dress to take off and make-up to remove...well that's when this little power comes in handy. Tired? Wanna go to bed? Click your fingers and be ready!
But sure, flying would also be good. OR! Being able to produce a meal just by thinking about it! Mhmmm.

Do you have a favorite tv commercial?
I think after a while, they just start to get on my nerves. When I'm home in Slovakia, you watch a movie and get 3(!) commercial brakes - really hate that! But here I just watch netflix so no ads for me.
But basically, any ad that makes me smile is a good ad. Slim pickings, though.

Oh, bummer - I scrolled through my instagram feed and everybody I follow either has loads of followers or has already been nominated. So I think what I'm gonna do is ask you dear readers a few questions, pick one or all and answer away in the comments! If you've also done a liebster award post, leave me a link, I'd love to check it out.

1. Top 3 all time favourite TV shows (I'm totally in the market for something new to watch!)
2. What is your most favourite thing to wear in spring?
3. What are the 3 things you think every woman should own?
4. What are the 3 things you think every man should own?
5. Your all time favourite holiday - where did you go and when?
6. Favourite dinner recipe? (Save me the struggle of dinner planning)
7. What do you like to do on Sundays?

Again, thanks, Leslie for the nomination, it was fun!

  3. Oh! That's really great to hear, because I have to say, I wasn't sure whether to post this outfit at all! There was just something about it that didn't seem post-worthy, but I'm glad I did put it up here - you made me see it with new eyes :)
