IT'S A PARK LIFE
Happy Sunday! According to my weather forecast, it's finally getting warmer, we're talking 25 degrees, with intermittent showers here in the North West. Now, I'm not one for showing my bare legs at the beginning of April, as soon as Spring, allegedly, comes. I wait till May or June. I don't like goose bumps.
I start bringing out and recycling last summer's pieces, perhaps I do a couple of small, basics purchases. What I wait for is the summer sales. This year, I have quite a few days at the beginning of July to snatch out the best (and most barginous) items, before I fly off to Venice in the second week. I'm looking forward to go shopping, even with the sale craze, because the past two years I always missed it - I was only back to collect the left-overs.
Now, I don't think I'm gonna go crazy, my funds don't allow me to do that, but I'm slowly complying a list of a few items, maybe four, that I'm going to look for. Like a full midi skirt.
If you aren't too engrossed in season 2 of Orange Is the New Black this weekend (I've gone through half the episodes already and want to save the rest for the week), then you might even go out and enjoy the sun today. Perhaps go to a park. I did exactly that last weekend. My boyfriend and I drove up to Moss Bank Park in Bolton, enjoyed watching a game of cricket (first time somebody explained the rules to me) and got ice cream from an ice cream truck. Lovely.
The look I'm sporting over here is becoming one of my go tos. I like throwing the kimono over a t-shirt in the evening. It glams it up a little. Oh, yes, a kimono is also on my dream sales shopping list. I love to pair it with the birks. I'm totally sold on them and wish I could have them in a few more colours (white and stone). I read vogue's article about how they're going to be exchanging birks for cloggs. Not me. Na-ah. I'll keep on taking the birks.
Levi's are also my go to this summer. I have this black pair and a light blue pair from couple years ago. They're just so easy to style and always look great. Do you already have a go to summer style this year?
I'm now off to the Manchester art gallery and afterwards I might treat myself to a caramel frap. You do that too.
Have a lovely rest of the weekend!
