EASTER WEEKEND {MY BIRTHDAY!}

And just like that the holidays are over. I spent mine at home - it was my birthday over the weekend! My mum made two beautiful cakes - the giant strawberry one was my favourite. We went for short bike rides and walks, and even disappeared underground for an hour on Monday to visit a cave.

My boyfriend flew in to visitand we played badminton for hours every day, well, rallies, and our record was 89 exchanges! I've still got a stiff neck. It's probably strange but I like the sound of badminton. Pock, smash. Pock, smash. It's relaxing! 

Everytime I go home I {re}discover something in my wardrobe, like this bright stripy top I got last summer. I remember I went shopping to get some strappy tops and came back with two sleeved ones. I love wearing it, cheers me up every time. When I'm home I usually resort to simple outfits and no make up, I like to be comfortable when I lounge. As it's still not quite t-shirt weather I threw on this floral denim jacket I got in the sales a couple years ago. I love the fit and it looks best when paired with some of my pink romantic summer dresses. If the weather keeps on being like this they might make an appearence soon!

I'm flying back to Manchester tomorrow to recommence applying for jobs and working on assignments. I still have to write one more short story and I have about 2 weeks to do that, so, wish me luck!
