BAKING

It feels like Christmas was months ago and not just a few weeks. I've been going through pictures I took over the holiday and I refuse to admit it's a bit too late for Christmas posts. And what is Christmas without these traditional Slovakian 'biscuits'? They are called medovnĂky and I guess you could compare them to ginger men but they are a lot less ginger and a lot more honey. Each family has a different recipe but the essentials are still the same. Flour, eggs, honey and christmas spices. My mum likes them with walnuts in the middle but I like to decorate them. Sometimes I make them a little weird too, this year I made some patterned churches and called them 'aztec'.
